Locally born and raised, Christopher was taught the basics of cooking by his Mother.

” She was an amazing cook, she could make a meal out of anything “

The sharing of a great meal, back then, was sometimes the only time a Family would be all together so Dinners became an important part of growing up.

He worked many years in retail Produce from which he gained extensive knowledge of fresh Produce.

” Certified Organic wasn’t as big a thing around here back then, I am proud to have taken part in the introduction of Organics in the retail stores “

Through the years in Produce he has had the opportunity to work with many Local Suppliers and deal directly with Family owned Farms.

“Nova Scotia has a wealth of amazing products,  meeting the Farmers gave me a strong appreciation for supporting Local which I am proud to say I carry with me today “

After leaving his Career in Produce,  Christopher opened his first restaurant and catering company. His passion for cooking and baking was put to good use and he quickly learned that sitting down and sharing a meal even outside your Family unit is an experience worth taking the time for.

” I’ve catered thousands of Parties and Weddings over the years and Food always played a big part “

” Taking the basics Mom taught me and adding my own personal flair. ..I am able to make people happy…through my cooking I help my guests turn any occasion into a Special Occasion “

Christopher has made a home for himself in the North End of Halifax. Sharing an apartment with his kitty Priscilla and sharing his love for food with us.

He has been published in several cook books, made numerous television appearances as well won several awards for his cooking and display work.

” I’m not here for the glory. ..it’s hard work. ..but seeing someone smile after they have eaten my food is a great reward in itself “

Working in the North End for over four years he has become a staple, he is known by the locals and he takes the time to meet the community and support them as often as he can.

We are very glad to have him here as part of our team and look forward to a long working relationship together.
